Job summary

Simpson Judge seeks a Planning Solicitor (Senior/Managing Associate) to join its Bristol office. The candidate should have 3–8 years' PQE in planning law and be confident handling both non-contentious and contentious matters.

You will advise on planning, highways and related law across the development lifecycle for a diverse client base. The role covers drafting/negotiating Section 106 and highways agreements, and involvement in property and corporate transactions, including due diligence, with

Qualifications

• 3–8 years' PQE in planning law
• Experience across a broad range of planning matters
• Experience drafting and negotiating planning-related agreements
• Experience with contentious and non-contentious planning matters

Responsibilities

• Advise on planning, highways and related areas of law throughout the development lifecycle
• Draft and negotiate Section 106 agreements and highways agreements
• Support on planning and highways aspects of property and corporate transactions
• Advise on contentions planning, Planning Inquiries and hearings
• Assist with complex development and regeneration projects
• Engage in development consent orders (DCOs) and large-scale schemes (advantageous)
