Job summary

Simpson Judge Ltd is seeking a Planning Solicitor (Senior/Managing Associate) for its Bristol office. You will join a national Planning & Environment team handling high‑quality development and regeneration matters for diverse clients.

The successful candidate will have 3–8 years' PQE with strong planning experience across non-contentious and contentious matters, including S106, highways and related law, and may work on large development projects and DCOs.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 3–8 years' PQE in planning law.
• Strong experience across a broad range of planning matters.
• Experience with development consent orders (DCOs) and large-scale regeneration schemes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements.
• Highways agreements and other statutory agreements.
• Advising on planning, highways and associated law.
• Planning and highways aspects of property and corporate transactions, including due diligence.
• Contentious planning, including Planning Inquiries and hearings.
• Court challenges and Judicial Reviews.
• Advising on complex development and regeneration projects.
