Key Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Application Advice: Offer guidance on development proposals, aligning with national planning policies.
2. Application Management: Oversee a caseload from consultation to final recommendations, meeting quality standards and deadlines.
3. Appeals: Prepare and present cases during appeals, adhering to Planning Inspectorate standards.
4. Query Response: Address planning-related inquiries from the public and team members promptly.
5. Records Maintenance: Keep records accurate and up-to-date per service standards.
6. Committee and Meeting Participation: Provide professional advice at Planning Committee and stakeholder meetings.
7. Team Collaboration: Work with other teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
8. Supervision: Mentor and supervise junior planning staff.
9. Deputizing: Step in for the team manager as required.
