Senior Planner
Hampshire Based Council
Ongoing Temporary Contract
ASAP Start
£61 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 / £50 PAYE
A Council in Hampshire is currently seeking a Senior Planner for a short-term contract to support their development management team on strategic and major applications.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning professional who can hit the ground running, take ownership of complex caseloads, and play a key role in shaping large-scale development across the district.
What they’re looking for:

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in Development Management at Senior Planner level or above
• Strong local authority experience
• Proven ability in managing strategic/major planning applications
• Confident presenting complex cases at Planning Committee and responding to Member queries
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement with agents, parish/town councils, and elected Members
• A self-starter, able to work independently and manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision

This is a hybrid role with on-site presence required as necessary for site visits and meetings.
