Important

Our client, is currently seeking a Principal Planning Officer to join their team on a 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on complex infrastructure planning projects including TWAO and NSIP schemes
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage competing deadlines, and ensure delivery of high-quality outputs
  • Prepare Local Impact Reports, Relevant Representations, and Written Representations for NSIPs
  • Engage and negotiate with stakeholders, including local communities, developers, legal advisors, and statutory consultees

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in development management and town planning
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of leading complex infrastructure planning projects under the TWAO and NSIP regulatory regimes from inception to decision
  • Excellent understanding of UK planning legislation and policy, including the Planning Act 2008 and TWA 1992
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality outputs within strict deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
  • Full clean driving licence

Qualifications:

  • RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or related discipline
