Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking a Planning & Materials Manager to lead planning, scheduling and materials control across multiple manufacturing sites in the UK. You will manage a team of Planners and Material Controllers, ensuring material availability aligns with production plans and customer commitments.

The role requires strong experience in ERP/MRP, capacity planning and continuous improvement across stock management and material flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning and materials management within engineering/high-technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling and material requirements planning.
• Experience managing and developing teams in manufacturing or supply chain settings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage planning, scheduling and materials control across multiple sites.
• Develop and coach a team of Planners and Material Controllers.
• Ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and customer commitments.
• Monitor demand, capacity and inventory to identify risks and implement solutions.
• Improve planning processes, procedures and performance measures.
• Collaborate with Assembly, Procurement, Logistics and Warehousing to align materials with production needs.
• Oversee inventory management to optimise stock levels and reduce shortages or excess.
• Utilise ERP/MRP systems to support planning and scheduling activities.
• Analyse planning and supply chain data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support capacity planning to align resources with demand.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning, stock management and material flow.
