Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking a Principal / Planning Manager for the LOR Stansted Airport project in Essex. The role leads the planning function across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover within a live operational airport environment.

You'll work with clients, stakeholders and supply chain to establish robust programmes, manage critical path and deliver on time and within constraints. Strong leadership, communication and Primavera P6/Asta Powerproject skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Senior planning experience on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading planning controls on large programmes.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Asta Powerproject.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of the Contract Programme and Programme to Build.
• Develop integrated programmes across design, procurement, construction, logistics, testing and handover.
• Manage baseline, critical path, milestones and programme logic.
• Provide planning input to construction methods and delivery strategies.
• Monitor performance, delays and risks; implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate programme information with client, stakeholders and supply chain.
• Provide reporting to senior project and commercial teams.
• Mentor and develop planners; promote best practice.
