Job summary

Infraspec is seeking an experienced Planning Manager to lead the planning function on a major Southeast UK airport programme, working with senior leaders and delivery teams. You’ll develop robust, integrated programmes using Primavera P6, providing insight into project performance and ensuring planning remains aligned with construction, commercial and wider programme objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Planning Manager or Senior Planner on major infrastructure or capital projects.
• Strong experience developing and managing complex programmes using Primavera P6.
• Excellent understanding of project controls, programme management and construction planning.
• Experience leading, mentoring and developing planning teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery objectives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working within structured governance and programme assurance environments.
• Airport or aviation experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing planning team.
• Develop, manage and optimise complex integrated programmes using Primavera P6.
• Establish planning best practice, governance and consistent delivery standards.
• Align programmes with construction, commercial, risk and project controls strategies.
• Provide programme reporting, forecasting and critical path analysis to senior stakeholders.
• Identify programme risks, opportunities and recovery strategies.
• Translate complex programme data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Work collaboratively across engineering, commercial, construction and project controls teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across planning processes and project delivery.
