Job description

Job Title: Senior Planning Manager

MWH Treatment is seeking to strengthen its Programme Management team with a Senior Planning Manager based in the Severn Trent region. The role requires office presence at Derby/Coleshill locations and on-site work as necessary.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the planning services function across the business unit's programme of work.
2. Understand the roles involved within an integrated programme, including design, construction, commissioning, and interface with third parties and framework partners.
3. Utilize planning systems such as Primavera (essential) and Microsoft Project (preferable).
4. Oversee programme management across individual and batched projects, optimizing the programme for cost, revenue, and time efficiency.
5. Provide programme management control, monitor performance, track critical paths, and identify issues.
6. Conduct resource planning and leveling, analyzing activities to ensure optimal resource allocation across projects.
7. Apply detailed knowledge of NEC contracts and programme requirements.
8. Lead, supervise, and develop the Planning team.
9. Collaborate with MWHT digital teams to develop 4D plans and rehearsals for improved delivery.
10. Contribute to Key Performance Indicators and benchmarking processes.

The role reports directly to the Head of Planning and involves responsibilities essential for effective programme delivery and team leadership.
