Job summary

Balfour Beatty Power Transmission & Distribution is recruiting a Senior Planning Engineer to support major transmission and substation projects across the UK, with regular site attendance at Bramford and base at a local office. You will lead planning from concept through delivery within a high-performing team, enabling the UK’s Net Zero transition.

Role requires strong NEC contract knowledge, experience in earned value, change control and stakeholder management, and a collaborative approach

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Strong planning experience on major infrastructure, utilities, power, or energy projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Asta Powerproject with reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing, maintaining and managing fully resourced project programmes.
• Leading planning activities across tender, pre-construction and delivery phases.
• Producing and presenting tender programmes and planning strategies.
• Analysing programme performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and implementing mitigation measures.
• Managing change, progress reporting and earned value analysis.
