Job description

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting for a Senior Planning Engineer. The role involves using your site experience to find technical solutions to engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide advice and assistance on planning, programming, methods of construction and solutions to engineering problems.
2. Ensure that any programmes and supporting documents produced, comply with all schemes specific constraints.
3. Ensure that while planning each tender, all possible alternative methods and strategies have been considered and discussed with the tender team.
4. Assist with providing supporting documents for each tender submission as required.
5. Jointly reviewing sub-contracted design work with respect to buildability and tender compliance, seeking advice from the Technical Manager when necessary.
6. Keep up to date with industry developments, innovations, and legislation.

Skills Required

1. The ideal candidate will have a wide experience of working on civil engineering sites, will have a minimum of an HNC civil engineering qualification and be comfortable working in a team.
2. The successful candidate should be conversant with programming software, such as Asta or Microsoft Project, although training can be provided.
3. We’re after someone who can work within a team with good communication skills and technical engineering knowledge.
4. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
