Job summary

Osborne Richardson is seeking a Senior Enforcement Planning Officer for a contract role in London (N). You will handle planning enforcement cases, provide expert technical advice, and work with a range of stakeholders to achieve timely outcomes.

You will conduct investigations into planning complaints, supervise notices such as abatement and enforcement notices, and attend committee meetings. Hybrid working with office presence at least two days weekly.

Qualifications

• Recent field experience in planning enforcement is essential.
• Strong knowledge of current planning legislation and guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Investigate planning complaints and enquiries and recommend action.
• Serve and monitor abatement notices, stop notices, and other enforcement instruments.
• Conduct site visits and interviews as required.
• Represent the Council at committee meetings and provide expert technical advice.
• Support and guide junior officers as a senior member of the team.
