Job summary

Planning Planet in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a dynamic, growing consultancy. You will provide expert planning support across a diverse portfolio of projects, from concept through to delivery, in a client-facing role.

You will develop and manage detailed programmes for schemes across construction, renewables, infrastructure and other major projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and key clients to ensure successful outcomes and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Extensive UK construction industry experience.
• Background gained within a main contracting environment.
• Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner on complex construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a client-facing consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes.
• Provide planning support and strategic advice to clients and project teams.
• Monitor project progress and produce programme updates and reports.
• Identify programme risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams across a range of sectors.
• Attend client and project meetings, providing clear planning insight and guidance.
• Support the successful delivery of complex projects from concept through to completion.
