Job summary

Carter Jonas in London is seeking an experienced RTPI or RICS (P&D) Senior Planner to join our growing team. You will work closely with Partners to manage a variety of planning matters and progress applications across London and the South East.

Qualifications

• RTPI or RICS (P&D) qualified with planning experience
• Experience with consultancy, developer, or local authority environments
• Strong ability to develop internal/external relationships and provide practical planning advice

Responsibilities

• Provide professional planning advice to clients on a range of matters
• Undertake site appraisals to assess planning positions
• Coordinate input of consultants in planning processes
• Prepare planning statements and submit planning applications
• Collate and submit Local Plan representations and related documentation
• Prepare and review CIL calculations and representations
• Respond to third party representations and authority consultations
• Lead negotiations with local authorities and statutory bodies
• Engage in public consultations and community events
• Attend planning committees and support Local Plan Examinations
• Prepare grounds for appeal and participate in hearings
• Support junior team members and contribute to firm growth
