Job summary

Assystem is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to support the planning and delivery of complex energy, grid and power projects in the UK. You will lead programmes from concept through construction, coordinating with engineering, procurement and construction teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as Planner/Senior Planner in energy, power, utilities, infrastructure or construction.
• Proven background in grid connections, power supply projects and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong track record in developing and managing complex, multi‑disciplinary programmes.
• Excellent knowledge of planning methodologies, programme controls and critical path analysis.
• Experience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Experience reviewing contractor programmes and managing programme interfaces.
• Understanding of design, procurement, construction and commissioning processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes from concept through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, commercial, procurement and project management teams for programme alignment.
• Develop integrated schedules covering grid connections, power supply, electrical infrastructure and civils activities.
• Monitor progress against baselines and identify delays, risks and critical path activities.
• Provide regular programme updates and analysis to project teams and senior management.
