Job summary

Persimmon Homes in Lancashire seeks a Senior Planner/Planning Manager to convert land interests into planning consents and grow land reserves. You will work with landowners, public and private sector professionals, politicians, developers and communities to promote planning strategies.

The role involves leading planning submissions, coordinating with the Land Team, and guiding a team to secure positive planning outcomes for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading planning applications in private/public sector.
• RTPI-accredited planning degree or MSc in Planning.
• Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Produce and manage planning applications (Outline/Full/Reserved Matters).
• Lead on planning promotion and submissions to support growth.
• Coordinate with internal designers, external consultants and Local Planning Authorities.
• Instruct Design & Access Statements and other planning documents.
• Organise stakeholder/public consultations with professionalism.
• Formulate planning strategies to promote site development.
• Assist Director on key business decisions and attend meetings as subject expert.
