Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Planner to lead the full build and management of schedules on complex projects. You will maintain baselines and provide advanced reporting to drive performance, engaging stakeholders and ensuring contractual alignment across interfaces.

Ideal candidates bring NEC contract knowledge, strong Primavera P6 and MS Project skills, and a proven ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team in a flexible, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, construction management or related field.
• Experience as a Senior Planner with transport, energy, defence, water or rail exposure.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage schedules, interfaces, and engage relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain baselines to support contractual and performance metrics.
• Provide meetings/workshops to challenge progress and performance.
• Support planning/controls managers to maintain schedules and interfaces.
• Provide advanced reporting outputs including Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Conduct delay analysis and integrate schedule, cost, and risk insights.

Support Planning / Project Controls Managers to maintain schedules and their interfaces.* Manage the contract requirements for the schedules.* Provide advanced hierarchical reporting outputs such as Earned Value Management (EVM).* Experience of Integration of function corelating Schedule, Cost and Risk.* Provide Critical Path evaluation and scenario planning options to mitigate issues and improve efficiencies.Conduct expert analysis on scheduling and programming. Proficient in various types of delay analysis techniques.## About you* Bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.* Experience as a Senior Planner, specializing in transportation, energy, defence, water and rail industry experience.Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and their application in project management.* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate across diverse groups.* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).* Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.* Engineering Graduate with Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP).* Experience in the construction or engineering industry.
