Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Planner to support Energy projects, notably the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone. You will assimilate information, prepare resourced programmes, contribute to risk analyses, and produce clear visuals for stakeholders.

Experience on major civil engineering/construction projects and HV transmission is essential, with proficiency in planning tools (P6, Asta, TILOS, QSRA) and tendering/contract delivery expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience on major civil engineering and/or construction projects.
• Experience with HV power transmission and distribution projects.
• Proficient in planning software such as P6, Asta, TILOS and QSRA.
• Ability to apply a range of planning techniques for tendering and contract delivery.
• Understanding of commercial and contractual interfaces in planning.

Responsibilities

• Assimilate information and summarise work scope for communication.
• Prepare a resourced programme and check conformance with requirements.
• Contribute to the project risk register and perform risk analysis.
• Prepare visual material to support planned methods.
• Maintain orderly project documentation under personal control.
• Define methods and outputs with estimators and supply chain where appropriate.
• Liaise with design engineers to establish design briefs for temporary works.
• Provide the estimator with justified schedules of temporary works and indirect costs.
• Attend bid review meetings to articulate work scope and delivery plans.
• Attend handover meetings to define tasks and deliverables.
• Advise project team on required feedback reports and support.
