Job summary

Assystem, a leading nuclear engineering firm, seeks an experienced project planner in the Glasgow area to lead the planning, production and management of complex programme schedules. You will coordinate work packages, monitor milestones and manage resources, while reviewing sub-contractor programmes for accuracy and alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Primavera P6 planning and scheduling.
• Strong Excel and MS Project capabilities for tracking progress.
• Excellent communication to present progress and risks clearly.
• Keen attention to detail with ability to challenge contractor submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, production and management of project schedules across complex programmes.
• Coordinate work packages, track progress against milestones and manage resource planning.
• Oversee and review sub-contractor programmes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
• Engage with stakeholders to report on progress, risks, opportunities and project changes.
• Support bid and proposal activities through manhour estimating and project planning input.
• Produce clear project reporting, including critical path analysis and performance metrics for senior leadership.
