Job summary

Fusion People Ltd. seeks an experienced Senior Planner in Birmingham to lead planning on major building services and MEP projects.

You will influence programme strategy, identify risks and drive successful outcomes across complex construction projects from inception through delivery. The role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed programmes (Primavera P6, ASTA Powerproject), conducting delay analyses, and coordinating with clients, consultants and subcontractors to ensure NEC/JCT/FIDIC

Qualifications

Degree/HNC/HND in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
Experience developing and managing programmes across full project lifecycle.
Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4, JCT and/or FIDIC contract mechanisms.
Proven experience preparing, managing and defending Extension of Time claims.
Ability to translate complex programme information into clear insights.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 and ASTA Powerproject.
Produce Level 1–4 programmes for complex building services projects (MEP, HVAC, electrical, public health).
Integrate design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities into master programmes.
Manage change control in line with NEC/JCT/FIDIC requirements.
Conduct delay analysis and risk assessments; prepare progress reports and look‑ahead schedules.
Support EOT claims and liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
Chair planning meetings and provide guidance to project teams.
Deliver high‑quality programme reporting to senior leadership and clients.
Support bids, tenders and work-winning activities with planning input.
