J. Murphy & Sons Limited is recruiting a Senior Planner to support the EGL1 Project in Durham within the Energy sector.

The role focuses on preparing resourced programmes, reviewing conformance with expectations, contributing to risk analysis, and providing justified schedules for temporary works. You will liaise with design engineers and estimators, manage project documentation, and attend bid and handover meetings to articulate work scope with prepared material and defined tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a resourced programme for the EGL1 project, reviewing outcomes against expectations.
• Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
• Prepare visual material in support of planned methods.
• Manage project documentation in an orderly fashion.
• Define methods and outputs with estimators and supply chain as required.
• Liaise with the design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works.
• Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works and indirect cost items.
• Attend bid review meetings to articulate work scope and planned delivery via prepared material.
• Attend handover meetings to define work scope and tasks with prepared material.
