Navartis Ltd invites applications for a Senior Planner to join a major contracting team in Staffordshire. You will take ownership of programme development and delivery from pre-construction to completion, shaping construction methodology and improving programme certainty.

You will work with project and operational teams to manage risks, optimise sequences and produce insightful reports for senior leadership. Mentoring junior planners and driving planning workshops are key parts of the role.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as Senior Planner or Planning Manager on major building projects.
• Proficient with NEC contracts and planning software (Asta/Primavera).
• Strong communication and leadership to guide junior staff.

Responsabilidades

• Leading the preparation, development and ongoing management of detailed construction programmes for a major construction project.
• Collaborating with project and operational teams to establish efficient construction methodologies.
• Developing robust, realistic and competitive programmes to support tender and bid submissions.
• Taking ownership of programme strategy, identifying critical path activities, risks and opportunities.
• Producing clear, accurate and insightful programme reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Developing and implementing mitigation strategies for delays, risks and disruption.
• Integrating programme outputs with 4D BIM modelling where appropriate.
• Leading and contributing to planning workshops, progress reviews and coordination meetings.
• Providing guidance, mentoring and technical support to junior members of the planning team.

The Opportunity..

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading national contractor delivering major, complex building projects. Taking ownership of programme development and delivery from pre-construction through to completion, you will play a pivotal role in shaping construction methodology, improving programme certainty and driving successful project outcomes.

Working closely with project and operational teams, you will provide strategic planning expertise, identify and manage programme risks, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements. You will also have the opportunity to influence planning best practice across the business and mentor the next generation of planning professionals.

The Role

As Senior Planner, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the preparation, development and ongoing management of detailed construction programmes for a major construction project.
• Collaborating with project and operational teams to establish efficient, practical and deliverable construction methodologies.
• Developing robust, realistic and competitive programmes to support tender and bid submissions.
• Taking ownership of programme strategy, identifying critical path activities, potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Producing clear, accurate and insightful programme reports for senior management and key stakeholders.
• Developing and implementing mitigation strategies to address delays, programme risks and potential disruption.
• Integrating programme outputs with 4D BIM modelling where appropriate.
• Leading and contributing to planning workshops, progress reviews and coordination meetings.
• Providing guidance, mentoring and technical support to junior members of the planning team.

Key Requirements..

• Proven experience in a Senior Planner or Planning Manager position, delivering major projects within the building sector.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience of NEC forms of contract.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodology, buildability and programme management.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts and their commercial implications.
• Proficient in Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6 software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence site teams, project managers and senior leadership.
• Experience with 4D BIM planning and digital construction methodologies would be advantageous.
