Job summary

Monroe International is seeking a Senior Project Planner to develop, manage and monitor project programmes for major works across the south coast. You will lead planning, reporting and mitigation activities to support timely delivery and commercial success.

You will contribute to pre-tender planning, bid programmes, and time-related information as part of a tender team, with strong capability in data analysis and 4D modelling. The role is site-based and requires construction sector experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading planning on large-scale projects across the capital.
• Degree or CIOB membership relevant to construction management.
• Experience contributing to pre-contact planning and tender bid teams.
• Proficiency with ASTA Powerproject.
• Ability to analyse data and forecast and set 4D modelling for projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, monitor, report, and mitigate time-related risks.
• Provide leadership for planning and coordination processes per Project Business Plans.
• Ensure programmes comply with project requirements and sequence events for optimal construction.
• Analyse performance and advise the project team on likely impacts and improvements.

The Opportunity

The Senior Project Planner will have responsibility for developing, managing/coordinating and monitoring the project programme and controls for an area of the works. The Senior Project Planner is a key member of the team to deliver the works and will provide both detailed and strategic inputs for all time related matters.

What will the role look like?

• Working as part of the major projects team in Hampshire, the role is responsible for programming, planning, monitoring, reporting, feedback and mitigation measuring.
• Providing leadership for the planning and co-ordination processes and implement and maintain the requirements of the Project Business Plans.
• Ensuring that all programmes are compliant with the Project requirements and develop and agree a sequence of events ensuring that the most economical / advantageous construction strategy is adopted.
• Analysing performance and advising the project team of likely impact and recommend improvements.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

• Leading the Planning on large scale projects across the capital.
• A good understanding of construction techniques and a HNC / Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar sector related course, and/or CIOB Membership.
• Experience in contributing to pre-contact planning, work winning, and processes, producing a Bid Programme and associated time related information as part of a tender bid team.

• Ability to analyse, collate and utilise a range of data and information for reporting and forecasting, as well setting 4D modelling for projects.
