Job summary

People Group Limited is seeking a Senior Planner to join a Tier 1 JV delivering a major infrastructure project near High Wycombe. The role focuses on producing programmes and managing interfaces between packages, ensuring proper sequencing and early risk identification.

You will work with package leads, subcontractors and delivery teams, using P6, Asta or MS Project to turn programme data into actionable plans, attend progress meetings and track performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive planning experience on major infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, Asta or MS Project to develop and review programmes.
• Ability to identify clashes and propose practical sequencing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3 week to 6 month programmes for upcoming works.
• Review programmes against overlaps and interface issues.
• Collaborate with package leads and subcontractors to develop practical delivery solutions.
• Create clear sequencing plans and visual presentations for teams.
• Attend progress and coordination meetings and track delivery against the programme.
• Challenge unrealistic programme information and highlight risks; monitor site progress and update short-term programmes.

Location: Near High Wycombe

Contract: Freelance

Duration: 12 Months

We're recruiting a Senior Planner to join a Tier 1 JV delivering a major infrastructure project.

The role will focus on producing programmes for upcoming works while managing the interfaces between overlapping packages. You'll work closely with package leads, subcontractors and self delivery teams to make sure works are properly sequenced and delivery issues are identified early.

The role will involve:

• Producing 3 week to 6 month programmes for upcoming works
• Reviewing programmes against overlapping activities and identifying clashes or interface issues
• Working with package leads and subcontractors to develop practical solutions to delivery constraints
• Producing clear sequencing plans and visual presentations for subcontractor and self delivery teams
• Attending progress and coordination meetings and tracking delivery against programme
• Using construction experience to challenge unrealistic programme information and highlight risks
• Monitoring progress on site and updating short term programmes accordingly

You’ll need strong planning experience within major infrastructure or large scale construction, with experience using P6, Asta or MS Project. A good understanding of construction sequencing and the ability to turn programme information into clear, practical solutions for delivery teams is key.
