Senior Planner

Location: Bristol

Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a top 25 UK property consultancy, in their search for a Graduate Planner. Working with clients locally, regionally and nationally they add value at every stage of the property life cycle using a multidisciplinary approach

Candidates will:

• Be qualified, preferably at, or near to, membership of the RTPI, with 2-5 years’ post-qualification experience either within the private or public sector.
• Possess a passion and sound understanding of planning, development and environmental issues.
• Have a good working knowledge of at least one of the planning systems operating in the UK.
• Be positive and have a can-do attitude. You should be resilient, organised, proactive and be hardworking.
• Have demonstrable experience of the planning process including the preparation and submission of applications and appeals.
• Have excellent report writing skills and experience of delivering recommendations on a range of planning applications.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to articulate challenging concepts in an ‘easy-to-understand’ way.

As a Senior Planner this key role will support, and mentor the junior planners as well as supporting the partners to service client work.
