Job description

Petrofac is seeking a Piping Engineer 3 - Contractor for 6 months based in Aberdeen, UK.

The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.

The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.

Scope of Services:

Services to be supported during the duration of the contract are detailed below. Additional services shall be mutually agreed upon via contract amendment:

• Ensure compliance of all piping work with company, industry, and international standards and procedures.
• Stay updated with technical developments, standards, and legislative requirements.
• Produce cost-effective, fit-for-purpose designs without compromising safety or quality.
• Coordinate with Procurement, QA/QC, and Document Control for materials and deliverables.
• Ensure piping work complies with health, safety, environmental, and quality policies.
• Manage project changes in line with Management of Change procedures.
• Provide piping engineering support and implement instructions from the Project Manager.
• Develop engineering deliverables and calculations.
• Support all project phases from Initiation to Implementation.
• Address piping technical queries to ensure resolution to the satisfaction of the Technical Authority.
• Participate in Hazop, Hazid, and design reviews to ensure safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and perform interdisciplinary document checks.
• Attend project/vendor kick-off meetings and contribute to progress and planning meetings.
• Identify scope changes and prepare support documents for project control.
• Review progress and cost reports related to piping activities.
• Ensure work aligns with asset priorities and schedules.
