Job summary

Aldwych Consulting seeks an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering, quality and technical delivery on specialist piling and ground engineering works on a major civil project in the UK.

You will work with the Project Manager and Construction Supervisor, ensuring safe, compliant, on-time delivery with strong focus on design information, QA and contract standards. CSCS card and safety-compliant mindset essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering piling or ground engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of rotary bored piling, CFA piling, and pile load testing.
• Understanding of civil engineering principles and construction techniques.
• Experience with site quality control and temporary works procedures.
• CSCS card held and safety-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication with clients, designers and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering oversight for piling and ground engineering activities.
• Ensure construction aligns with design, quality and contract standards.
• Monitor ground conditions and respond to variations.
• Prepare and maintain method statements, risk assessments and ITPs.
• Oversee temporary works compliance and non-conformance management.
• Produce lift plans, site records and as-built drawings.
• Liaise with designers, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Maintain daily diaries and participate in progress meetings.
