Job summary

Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering is seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer to lead civil piling aspects of complex projects from planning through construction. You will develop plans, review specs and cost estimates, and coordinate with project managers and design engineers to drive safe, on-time delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in construction, experience delivering civil contracts, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in delivery of civil engineering contracts on various scales.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and with external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams and scheme costs.
• Strong focus on Health and Safety and behavioural safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the civil piling aspects from planning to construction.
• Develop and review project plans, specifications and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers, design engineers and other teams.
• Conduct site inspections ensuring compliance with specs, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and present reports and updates to stakeholders.
• Identify risks and promote continuous improvement and professional development.
• Oversee internal teams and subcontractors to ensure effective resource management.
