Job summary

Clyde & Co is seeking a Legal Director to lead the National Professional Indemnity team in Manchester, a senior, technically excellent role. You will manage high-value PI matters, advise insurers and insureds, and contribute to strategic growth across Clyde & Co’s UK and international platform.

The role requires strong client-facing skills, deep PI knowledge and the ability to mentor junior lawyers while driving business development and thought leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

• Evidence of strong client-facing skills and strategic development of a national practice.
• Ability to manage complex, high-value PI matters with autonomy.
• Experience mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team culture.

Responsibilities

• Advising insurers and insureds on complex PI claims, including coverage and reserving issues.
• Handling high-value matters across professions and coordinating litigation, mediation, and settlement.
• Developing relationships with insurer and broker clients and contributing to business development.
