Job summary

Rotherham Doncaster & South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist to join our Mental Health services across Phoenix High Dependency Rehabilitation and Swallownest Court acute wards. The role requires autonomous clinical work, specialist assessment and leadership within a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide expert physiotherapy input for adults with complex mental health needs, manage a defined caseload, deliver education, and undertake outreach and discharge

Qualifications

• Provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment of adults with complex mental health physiotherapy problems.
• Manage a defined caseload using evidence-based, client-centred principles to plan and evaluate interventions.
• Provide clinical education and training.
• Provide HDU Mental Health Team input as part of a multi-professional team.
• Carry out home visits and outreach to enable safe, timely discharge.
• Provide information to the Clinical Lead Mental Health Physiotherapist and HDU Team Manager as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment and treatment of adults with complex mental health physiotherapy problems.
• Lead and manage a defined caseload using evidence-based, client-centred principles.
• Deliver clinical education and training to staff.
• Support the HDU Mental Health Team as a member of a multi-professional group and contribute to discharge planning.
