Job summary

East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust invites applications for a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist in the Integrated Discharge Team. The role will involve advanced physiotherapy assessments and treatments aligned with Band 7 expectations and joint delivery with IDT leads for acute assessment and discharge services.

You will work with ACPs, nursing, medical and managerial leads, supervising junior PT/PTA staff and driving service improvements while integrating across the therapy network within East

Responsibilities

• Perform highly specialist clinical physiotherapy assessments and treatments appropriate to Band 7 grade including work requiring particular expertise or ability
• Jointly responsible with the IDT Team Leads for the delivery of Acute Assessment and Discharge Services
• Work closely with ACPs, nursing, medical and managerial team leads / managers in the operational and strategic development of the IDT team
• Supervise junior PT and PTA colleagues and support staff, providing training and joint sessions as required
• Deliver a high standard of clinical care and maintain service delivery by flexible, effective and efficient prioritisation based on sound clinical and professional judgement
• Support the Physiotherapy Professional Leads with development of professional standards associated with Physiotherapy
• Work with the Service Manager to review, develop and refine pathways of care; facilitate robust, innovative and expert service
