Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join the City Community Hospital team in Oxford. You will support rehabilitation across inpatient wards, focusing on older adults to maximise independence and outcomes.

You will manage a varied caseload, conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to patient needs, working with nursing, medical and therapy colleagues to deliver person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Qualified physiotherapist with HCPC registration.
• Experience in NHS or UK Adult Social Care or equivalent.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation, mental health and community services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred rehabilitation, assessment and treatment.
• Manage a complex caseload autonomously with clinical reasoning and evidence‑based practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and patient pathways.
• Develop and implement discharge plans and liaise with patients and carers.
• Provide supervision and education to junior staff and students.
• Support service improvement, audits and local protocols.
