Job summary

BRE is seeking a Senior Certification Project Manager to lead complex security product approval projects from enquiry to certification delivery. You will manage physical security product evaluation, testing, and certification, engaging clients and stakeholders while ensuring adherence to national, international, and LPCB standards.

The role combines technical leadership, project management, and active involvement in BRE’s expanding Physical Security assurance services.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing certification, testing, or technical assurance projects.
• Understanding of physical security products and associated testing and certification processes.
• Knowledge of national/international/LPCB standards relating to security product evaluation and certification.
• Experience developing project plans, quotations, technical proposals, and certification documentation.
• Ability to manage complex projects through all stages with quality, budget, and timescale control.
• Experience reviewing technical reports and supporting certification decision-making.
• Understanding of accreditation, quality management systems, and audits (ISO 9001/ISO 27001).
• Strong client engagement and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience mentoring technical team members.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Technical qualification in a relevant discipline, ideally degree level or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of all stages of evaluation and certification projects for physical security products.
• Oversee testing, evaluation, and certification activities per standards and client specs.
• Develop test plans and coordinate project delivery to timescales, budgets, and quality.
• Manage bespoke certification and evaluation projects for clients.
• Prepare technical proposals and maintain strong client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical review and sign-off support for reports and certification processes.
• Support and guide team members through technical leadership, training, and oversight.
• Engage with specifiers, end users, and stakeholders regarding testing and certification activities.
• Represent BRE at exhibitions, conferences, standards committees, and industry groups.
• Support growth and development of BRE’s Physical Security services and capabilities.
