Job summary

BRE’s Physical Security team in Watford is seeking a Senior Certification Project Manager to lead complex security product approval projects from enquiry to certification delivery.

You will combine technical expertise, client engagement, and project leadership across national and international standards, ensuring timely, compliant outcomes for doorsets, enclosures, facades, and walls. Hybrid work with occasional site presence.

Qualifications

• Experience managing certification, testing, or technical assurance projects in security or compliance.
• Knowledge of physical security products and related testing/certification processes.
• Familiarity with national, international, and LPCB standards for security product evaluation.
• Ability to develop project plans, quotations, and certification documents.
• Experience reviewing technical reports to support certification decisions.
• Understanding of accreditation, QA systems, and audits (ISO 9001/27001).

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of physical security product evaluation, testing, and certification projects.
• Oversee testing and certification activities per standards and client specs.
• Develop test plans and coordinate delivery to timescales, budgets, quality.
• Prepare technical proposals and maintain client engagement.
• Provide technical review and sign-off for reports and certificates.
• Guide and mentor team members on technical processes.
• Engage with specifiers, end users, and stakeholders about testing and certification.
• Represent BRE at exhibitions, conferences, and standards committees.
• Support growth of BRE’s Physical Security services.
