Charity People is pleased to be working with Ataxia UK (AUK) to recruit for an exciting, brand-new role of Senior Philanthropy Manager. This role is vital to the growth and ongoing sustainability of the charity, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone to make a significant impact.
Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications and the wider team, the Senior Philanthropy Manager will lead the delivery of AUK's strategy to build a sustainable pipeline of major donors, family trusts, and foundations, enabling year-on-year growth in unrestricted income. The ideal candidate will be a natural relationship builder with a proven track record of securing high-value, long-term partnerships with major donors.
AUK is the leading national charity in the UK for people affected by any type of ataxia, a rare neurological disorder affecting balance, coordination, and speech. AUK funds research into treatments and cures, and provides advice, information, and support to those affected.
As Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will secure long-term, high-value relationships with major donors and trusts, personally securing five and six-figure gifts. You will develop an excellent stewardship program to grow unrestricted income and nurture existing major donor relationships. You will also strategize to identify, cultivate, and secure gifts from new donors.
You will leverage excellent communication skills to craft compelling and tailored cases for support. As a key team member, you will bring creativity, insight, and experience, acting as a confident ambassador both internally and externally.
