Job summary

Marie Curie is seeking a senior, commercially-minded Philanthropy Lead to drive high-value growth and deepen engagement with influential supporters across the UK.

You will own a high-value donor portfolio, secure five and six figure gifts, and shape a donor-centric fundraising strategy, collaborating with senior leaders to build a sustainable pipeline of philanthropic support.

Based in our hybrid offices, you’ll travel as needed to engage key supporters and partners.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in major donor or philanthropy fundraising.
• Ability to secure five- and six-figure gifts.
• Credibility to engage high-net-worth individuals and senior stakeholders.
• Donor-centric, relationship-led approach with strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build a pipeline of new high-net-worth individuals through outreach and relationship building.
• Own and drive your workload, manage the prospect pipeline and identify opportunities.
• Initiate conversations, arrange meetings and create bespoke cultivation journeys.
• Work with senior leaders and volunteers to develop and progress donor relationships.
• Develop compelling propositions and make five- and six-figure asks.
• Use creativity and insight to spot opportunities others might miss.
• Represent Marie Curie externally and grow our profile with influential audiences.
