Job summary

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Pharmacy Technician in Patient Services for the Royal Brompton Hospital. The role supports the dispensary team across inpatient, outpatient, discharge and clinical trial dispensing, with ACPT status and patient-facing responsibilities.

You will deputise for Lead/Principal Pharmacy Technicians, ensure smooth daily operations, and work flexibly across GSTT sites within a collaborative hospital pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• ACPT status and capability to perform final check for dispensed prescriptions.
• Ability to counsel patients on their medicines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Dispending inpatient, outpatient, discharge and controlled drug prescriptions.
• Counsel patients on medicines and ensure patient safety.
• Maintain efficient stock control and deal with returns from wards.
• Oversee and maintain the pharmacy robot and Epic system entries.
• Lead or deputise for senior technicians to manage daily workload.
