Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide a medicines management service to ward specialties across the hospital site.
• Work as part of the near-patient dispensing team supplying medication during stay and at discharge.
• Liaise with ward staff and other healthcare professionals regarding medication discrepancies to improve patient care.
• Provide advice to patients regarding their medications.
• Act as a role model and help train new and junior staff.
• Participate in Accredited Checking Technician dispensary role.
• Contribute to the safe and efficient supply of medication to all wards.
• Assist and supervise in chemotherapy compounding in the Technical Services rotation and support the Chief Technician & Accountable Pharmacist.
