Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer (Band 3) for the Dispensary team at The William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. The role covers in-patient and out-patient dispensing with opportunities for development and flexible working including weekends and bank holidays.

You must have a minimum of 2 years dispensing experience in hospital or retail pharmacy, and NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or equivalent.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years dispensing experience, hospital or retail pharmacy.
• Experience in a customer facing role.
• Training members of the pharmacy team.
• IT literate.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the section managers in delivering a comprehensive service to the Trust.
• Assist in providing a safe, efficient pharmaceutical service with emphasis on dispensing in-patient/out-patient prescriptions and discharge summaries to wards and departments.
