Job summary

Join the Epsom and St Helier Hospitals pharmacy team as a Band 3 pharmacist/dispensing support in a busy outpatient dispensary at St Helier Hospital. You will prepare medicines for patients, handle stock checks, and support reception duties while upholding high standards of customer care.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, attention to detail, and good teamwork within a multi-disciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare medicines for patients and assist in an outpatient dispensary.
  • Carry out general housekeeping, filing and receptionist duties and undertake daily stock checks.
  • Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm with 60 minutes lunch; late rota, weekend and Bank Holiday rotas.

Previous experience with pharmacy dispensing systems and anNVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services are essential. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate must be proficient in the use of a computer, have proven organisational skills and demonstrate an attention to detail in their work. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be working as part of the multi-disciplinary team.


You will play a key role in preparing medicines for our patients. You will also carry out general housekeeping, filing and receptionist duties and undertake daily stock checks.


Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm with 60 minutes lunch. You will also participate in the late rota, weekend and Bank Holiday rotas.


To be considered, candidatesmust hold an NVQ qualification Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or an equivalent recognised qualification. Previous hospital experience is not a necessity but enthusiasm for a new challenge and a willingness to learn are key!
