Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust in Burton-upon-Trent is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join the Pharmacy Services team and support in delivering high quality pharmacy services to patients and staff.

You will work as part of the Senior Pharmacy Assistant Team, with responsibilities including dispensing prescriptions, handling reception duties, and ensuring ward top ups and expiry dating are correctly managed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a customer facing role, ideally NHS
• Ability to use automated/electronic systems
• Knowledge of pharmacy services and processes

Responsibilities

• Dispensing inpatient and outpatient prescriptions and discharge medication
• Reception duties: greeting customers and handling outpatient prescriptions
• Complete ward top ups and expiry dating
• Complete a GPhC-approved Level 2 Pharmacy course
