Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust in Hereford is seeking a Senior Pharmacist – Education & Training (Band 8a) to lead the pharmacy education and workforce development agenda. You will drive the Foundation Year Pharmacist programme and postgraduate education, working with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to deliver high quality training.

You will maintain advanced clinical practice and contribute to ward, dispensary, on-call, weekend and Bank Holiday commitments, on a rota basis, with a focus on

Qualifications

• MPharm and GPhC registration required.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
• Independent Prescribing Qualification or to work towards within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Foundation Year Pharmacist programme and postgraduate education.
• Support the clinical service using specialist knowledge to back education and training.
• Co-ordinate pharmacy education and training across the organisation and be the lead for multi-professional education.
• Interpret standards and apply them to local workforce development programmes.
