Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Lead Pharmacy Technician for Theatres & Elective General Surgery at Hereford County Hospital. You will work with senior pharmacists to deliver ward-based clinical services, including reconciliation, monitoring and patient counselling.

You will lead junior colleagues, monitor performance and drive improvements while covering rota commitments on weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC.
• Accredited Medicines Optimisation qualification or willingness to complete.
• Level 4 Clinical Diploma or willingness to complete.

Responsibilities

• Provide ward-based clinical pharmacy service in theatres/elective surgery.
• Medicines reconciliation, monitoring and patient counselling.
• Lead and mentor junior staff; manage day-to-day service delivery.
• Monitor performance, undertake audits and drive service improvements.
• Support weekend/bank holiday and on-call commitments as rotaed.
