Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• ATT or CTA qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
• Experience managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
• Experience in personal tax compliance and advisory work.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise directly with clients.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior colleagues.
• Proactive, professional approach with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients including high-net-worth individuals, company directors and business owners.
• Oversee the preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns.
• Provide advice on personal tax planning, capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax legislation and meeting statutory deadlines.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing practical tax advice and resolving queries.
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients and assisting with tax enquiries.
• Reviewing work prepared by junior colleagues and providing guidance where required.
• Working closely with Partners on complex tax matters and advisory assignments.
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services and strengthen client relationships.
