Sheridan Maine is recruiting a Personal Tax Manager for an established Kent accountancy practice. The role offers a salary of £70,000 per annum and suits a seasoned professional ready to own a varied portfolio of private clients.

You will handle both compliance and advisory work, including preparing and reviewing self-assessment returns and providing guidance on capital gains, inheritance tax and residence status. The successful candidate will supervise junior staff and liaise with HMRC.

Qualifications

• Qualified with ATT or CTA, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
• Experience handling a portfolio of personal tax clients.
• Experience in personal tax compliance and advisory work.
• Excellent communication and client-management skills.
• Able to supervise junior staff and meet deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, including high-net-worth individuals and company directors.
• Oversee preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns.
• Provide advice on personal tax planning, CGT, IHT and residence status.
• Ensure compliance with tax legislation and statutory deadlines.
• Act as a key contact for clients and liaise with HMRC.
• Review junior colleagues' work and guide where required.
• Collaborate with Partners on complex tax matters and opportunities.
