Job summary

RMErecruit is seeking a Personal Tax Manager in Greater Belfast to take full ownership of a client portfolio and lead personal tax operations with autonomy. The role focuses on advisory work, compliance oversight, and mentoring staff while improving tax processes and digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements include 5+ years in personal tax within practice and ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA qualifications. Salary is £40,000–£50,000 with 2:00 PM Friday finishes and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of personal tax experience within a practice setting.
• ATT/CTA/ACA or ACCA qualification with a personal tax specialisation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a diverse personal tax portfolio (high-net-worth individuals, directors, landlords).
• Lead tax planning across Income Tax, CGT, IHT, remuneration, residency and pensions.
• Review self-assessment returns and junior staff work for accuracy and deadlines.
• Lead Making Tax Digital (MTD) adoption for clients in Income Tax.
• Mentor junior team members and drive process improvements.
