The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary (£42,000–£50,000), and a clear pathway to Tax Manager. You will deliver tax planning, handle HMRC enquiries, and help grow the tax department through business development.

Qualifications

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients and meet deadlines.
• Review personal tax returns prepared by junior staff.
• Provide tax planning advice to individuals and owner-managed businesses.
• Assist on HMRC inquiries and advisory matters.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance deadlines are met.
• Review personal tax returns prepared by junior staff.
• Provide tax planning advice to individuals, owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth clients.
• Advise on capital gains tax, inheritance tax and income tax matters.
• Support Partners and Directors on complex advisory assignments.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
• Identify tax planning opportunities across the client portfolio.
• Assist with HMRC enquiries and correspondence.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the tax team through business development and networking initiatives.
