Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a UK qualified Senior Perfusion Scientist to join a busy team delivering adult, paediatric and ECMO services. The role offers a pro rata Recruitment and Retention Payment up to £2,500 across 12 months and potential progression to Band 8B once competencies are met, plus relocation support under policy.

You will be a highly autonomous practitioner responsible for a broad range of procedures, on-call rota, and ongoing development of perfusion

Qualifications

• Fully qualified and registered as a Clinical Perfusionist.
• Experience in adult and paediatric perfusion techniques.
• On-call rota participation is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide-ranging extracorporeal life support service including ECMO.
• Set up, priming and running CPB equipment for cardiac procedures.
• Maintain quality control and calibration of perfusion equipment.
• Provide training and supervision within the department.
