Job summary

VIQU IT Recruitment is seeking an SC-cleared Senior Performance Test Engineer for a London-based hybrid role. You will lead performance testing initiatives across critical applications, using JMeter, Gatling, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure robust, scalable systems in cloud and on-prem environments.

You will work with Azure Cloud and monitoring tools like Grafana and New Relic, collaborating with technical teams to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Around three years' experience leading performance testing with JMeter.
• SC-cleared or eligible for clearance to work on government projects.
• Experience designing and executing performance, load and stress tests.
• Ability to troubleshoot with monitoring tools (Grafana, Dynatrace).

Responsibilities

SC-Cleared Senior Performance Test Engineer London Hybrid Inside IR35

My client is seeking an SC-cleared Senior Performance Test Engineer to join a forward-thinking team. You will bring proven experience in the following areas:

• Around three years' experience leading performance testing with JMeter
• Azure / Cloud (ADF would be useful but not essential)
• OAT and Functional Test Automation - tools such as Selenium, Playright, Cucumber in an Agile environment
• Own the Performance Test Engineering for a number of core critical apps
• Performance Tested end to end architecture using Gatling, Jenkins, CI/CD, Grafana, Prometheus
• Performance analysis to identify bottlenecks
• Develope non-functional requirements (NFRs)
• Drive efficiency through platform performance engineering
• Showcase skills to junior team members

You will design and execute performance, load and stress tests using JMeter, LoadRunner or Gatling, ensuring that testing aligns with the performance strategy and agreed non-functional requirements.

Working closely with technical teams to troubleshoot issues, monitor systems with Grafana and Splunk, and use diagnostics tools such as New Relic and Dynatrace. Later, you'll integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and drive improvements to ensure robust, scalable systems across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
