Senior People Business Partner - Operations
Full-time, Permanent
Remote role with some travel including to our practices across the UK
The Role
As the Senior People Business Partner, you will be a commercially focused and trusted adviser, this role will provide strategic HR partnering to the Operations senior leader and leadership team. This role will be a positive disrupter, building strong relationships quickly to innovate and accelerate plans to meet ambitious business needs and is able to mobilise change effectively.
Across a complex and multi-region, multi-site and diverse organisation, you will lead development of the Operations people strategy and provide strong people leadership and guidance, provoking change to build a high performance culture. You will lead with a consistent approach to the Operations Team, that will ensure an organisation future fit to support the Bupa Dental Care (BDC) strategy and longer-term goals.
What will I be doing?
- In partnership with the Operations Director, Head of People and CoEs, develop the people strategy for Operations with a plan for delivery and ensure implementation aligned with the business strategy and performance outcomes.
- Develops and fosters key relationships with Operations Director and their leadership team, act as the senior point for HR expertise in support of the business strategy/people plan, proactively addresses people risk and opportunity, acts as a conduit to specialist and delivery People team services to support this.
- Works with the Operations leadership team to ensure a consistent approach cross-BDC and workforce & talent/succession plan and organisation design that ensures right people / right skills / right place & time / right cost in the operation.
- Collaborates with People team COEs (Heads Of and their teams) to ensure cross functional support that drives forward the business objectives and the people plan.
- Partners with the Operations leadership team to build an approach to a learning and high performance culture through capability development, continuous learning, and ensuring the business is future-fit.
- Works with business leadership to develops and execute plans that promote a highly inclusive and engaged workforce across BDC.
- Leads / works on pan BDC and MU projects with the Head of People / People Director as appropriate.
What do I need?
- Commercial Acumen: Understands the commercial aspects of the business and how to develop a holistic people plan that will support and enhance business performance.
- Partnering: Must have worked in a senior HR role within a diverse and multi-site environment supporting the operations.
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement people strategies that align with business goals and drive performance improvement. Creates consistency in approach across multi-region.
- Cross team Collaboration: Strong track record and experience of collaborating with / leveraging all aspects of HR e.g. recruitment, reward, engagement, talent, development etc to improve business performance on a sustainable basis.
- Leadership & Influencing: experience of a partnering and influencing senior leaders to achieve business objectives and improve performance.
- Managing Change: Successful record of influencing delivering cultural and behavioural change in a complex business environment.
- Generalist HR experience gained within a relevant market and/or industry – exposure to a Healthcare/Retail/Hospitality/Consumer led environment would be hugely beneficial.

- Coach & Mentor: Able to coach leaders appropriately and act as sounding board for senior leaders
